Our history

Adjust throughout the years

  • 2012

    Adjust is founded by Christian Henschel, Paul H. Müller and Manuel Kniep in Berlin, Germany, with the goal of building a measurement and tracking solution for app marketers to better understand where their users came from. They raise their first round of funding that same year.

  • 2014

    Adjust raises its second round of funding, and the company now counts close to 40 employees. New offices open in the U.S., Japan and China.

  • 2015

    Offices in Turkey follow, with the company becoming profitable just three years after its launch. Adjust reaches 100 employees, and also launches its Fraud Prevention Suite - an industry-first product that prevents ad fraud in real time.

  • 2017

    The company opens new offices in Brazil, France, the U.K., Russia, Indonesia and Korea.

  • 2018

    Adjust makes its first acquisition in December 2018, buying data aggregation platform Acquired.io. This will become the foundation of the Adjust Automate product suite.

  • 2019

    Adjust makes additional acquisitions, first buying Tel Aviv based cybersecurity and AI company Unbotify. In February and October of the same year, Adjust forms strategic partnerships with Adways and CyberZ, two of Japan’s leading mobile marketing agencies. The move solidifies Adjust’s market leading position in Japan. In June of 2019, Adjust secures a $227 million round of funding — one of Europe’s largest rounds of funding that year.

  • 2020

    The Adjust team has grown to over 550 employees across 16 offices around the world. Over 50,000 apps now rely on Adjust to power their mobile marketing growth.

  • 2021

    Adjust was acquired by AppLovin, whose leading marketing software provides developers with a powerful, integrated set of solutions to grow their businesses.
